UM unveils 80th year logo as Kickoff Ceremony opens months-long founding anniversary celebration
The University of Mindanao opened its months-long celebration of its founding anniversary by unveiling the official logo of the 80th year celebration.
Led by President and CEO Dr. Guillermo P. Torres Jr, the ceremony held on Feb. 9, 2026 was simple yet meaningful, marked with the special unveiling of the 80th founding anniversary logo.
Dr. Torres Jr, accompanied by the various deans and heads of offices, witnessed the unveiling held at the front of the DPT Building grounds in the UM Matina campus.
The talented UM Makabayan Marching Band provided the audience with upbeat music, and serene accompaniment to the Philippine National Anthem and the UM Hymn.
The university is gearing up to commemorate the upcoming 80th year anniversary in July with a series of events for students, faculty, and administrative staff.
