CHSE Faculty Member Bags First Place for Poster Exhibit Competition at the 15th Health R&D Expo in Davao City
The University of Mindanao once again takes pride in the outstanding achievement of its faculty as Ms. Hyacinth Mae M. Ang, RMT, from the College of Health Sciences Education (CHSE), emerged victorious at the 15th Health R&D Expo at the Apo View Hotel, Davao City.
Ms. Ang, who is currently the BSMT/ MLS Internship Coordinator, secured First Place in the Graduate Category of the Poster Exhibit Competition with her master thesis entitled "Prevalence of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Among Persons Deprived of Liberty at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Davao del Sur." her work highlights the pressing health challenges in correctional facilities and contributes valuable insights into public health research in the region.
The event, organized by the Regional Health Research and Development Consortium XI (RHRDC - XI) in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Health XI (DOH XI), carried the theme "From Code to Cure: Advancing Public Health Through Genomics, AI-Driven Tools, and Evidence-Based Practice."
