OPLAN UMIADO, LIMPYADO! 2025: Getting involved in campus cleanup
Just days before the opening of classes for School Year 2025–2026, the University of Mindanao community came together for a campus-wide clean-up and beautification drive as part of OPLAN UMIANO, LIMPYADO! 2025.
The campaign, which began in mid-July, included scheduled inspections, repainting, and repairs to walls, ceilings, floors, toilets, and windows, spearheaded by the Physical Plant Management and General Services department from July 22 to August 1.
Originally launched as a school beautification contest for students, OPLAN UMIANO, LIMPYADO! has evolved into a collaborative effort between all members of the university. This year’s initiative also fostered camaraderie among employees, with moments of shared laughter and snacks amid the day’s hard work.
UM continues to emphasize the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment — a value the university proudly carries into every aspect of its operations. As the saying goes: Basta UMiano, Limpyado!
