UM's Team SOBEAR reaps Grand Championship in Project Excel 2025
Team SOBEAR of the University of Mindanao earns the top spot in the Project Excel 2025, beating hundreds of entries from the Philippines and Indonesia.
Initially in the Top 10, Team SOBEAR advanced quickly through the expert guidance of Dr. Reil S. Romero, Program Head of Business Entrepreneurship, and the team showcased exceptional innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial acumen.
Their victory earned them a USD 500 seed fund, comprehensive certificates of recognition, and exclusive exchange student opportunities designed to facilitate further project development and enhance global exposure.
Team SOBEAR, representing A.Y.E., comprises: Marco B. Diaz, George U. Gelbulingo Jr., Ashley Vinary Dancel, Karl Louie Baldo, and Anna Micailla Luna. These burgeoning entrepreneurs have demonstrated exemplary representation of both their institution and the Philippines on an international platform.
Project EXCEL 2025 is a collaborative initiative supported by YSEALI, Fulbright, and other esteemed global partners, all dedicated to fostering youth empowerment and innovation across Southeast Asia.
