The table lists community service activities aligned with Environmental Conservation and Preservation programs that involve students, employees, and even alumni of the University. The Tree Stewardship program, which alternates between planting and weeding, is implemented in partnership with Mt. Apo Science Foundation, Inc. It started last school year, 2024-25, and was pioneered by the College of Accounting Education and the Professional Schools. The other colleges involved in the program are Hospitality Education and Basic Education, while the UM Non-Teaching Group and the UM Alumni Association also participated.

Another Environmental program undertaken by the University was the Mangrove Conservation and Coastal Clean-up Drive, launched in February 2023 in partnership with Barangay Lasang. Students and employees are also actively engaged in this community by planting mangrove trees and cleaning the area every quarter to ensure a high survival rate. The colleges of Engineering, Hospitality Education, Teacher Education, and Accountancy are actively involved in this program.

Aside from the above-mentioned initiatives, the University also implemented a disciplinary program with the Bagobo Tagabawa Tribal Community in Catigan. The Colleges of Criminology conducted an environmental education session with the Bagobo Tagabawa indigenous community, highlighting various environmental laws and the sanctions for violating their provisions. The topic also featured the role of the community in safeguarding their ancestral domain, which is a home to different species of flora and fauna in Davao City. The Biology and Agro-Forestry programs instilled in the community the importance of preserving the flora and fauna while practicing agro-forestry techniques in farming.
