Biodiversity

Biodiversity conservation is promoted through academic instruction, research, and extension initiatives. The Environmental Studies Department develops and implements programs that support biodiversity conservation, ecological research, and environmental stewardship. Complementing these efforts, the Coleoptera Research Center specializes in beetle taxonomy and biodiversity research, conducting species discovery and documentation, biodiversity assessments, and curating scientific collections that support conservation, education, and collaborative research.
