UM ISACA Student Group Hosts AISPIRE 2026: The Legacy Convention



The University of Mindanao- Davao successfully hosted AISPIRE 2026: The Legacy Convention on April 25, 2026, at AVR 4, UM Matina, Davao City. The event gathered students, faculty, and industry professionals to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the ISACA Manila Chapter and the 5th Year Anniversary of the UMISACA Student Group (ISG) , reinforcing the partnership between academia and industry. The convention featured the Secure Campus Initiative, where students presented innovative proposals to a panel of experts led by ISACA Manila President Ma’am Jeannine M. Roxas. During the program, Ma’am Roxas delivered a keynote address on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, while BSAIS Program Head Mr. Mark Glenn G. Parpan provided updates on current industry trends, equipping students with insights to address emerging technological challenges. Competitions were a major highlight of the event, with participants showcasing their skills in the BSAIS Quiz Bowl, Infographics Competition, and the Jupyter Analytics Cup, where top performers were recognized. The session also maintained high energy through engaging activities such as “Spin the Wheel,” hosted professionally by student leaders Desiree and Karla. The program concluded with closing remarks from UM ISG President Ms. Leonisa G. Torino, who emphasized the importance of leadership and collaboration while expressing gratitude to the organizing team. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. AISPIRE 2026 demonstrated how collaboration between the University of Mindanao and ISACA created meaningful opportunities for student empowerment, innovation, and knowledge-sharing. By connecting academic learning with professional expertise, the event strengthened students’ digital competencies and industry awareness. Such initiatives show how strategic partnerships can advance quality education while building a strong foundation for sustained growth, professional development, and excellence in the digital age.
