UM-CHE Students Join First Student Exchange Program with Sejong University in Seoul, South Korea
The UM College of Hospitality Education sends its exchange students to Sejong University in Seoul, South Korea; marking a historic milestone as the first batch of exchange between the two universities.
Kurt Jim A. Binatero, a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) and Kieth B. Caparoso, a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) are participating in the Student Exchange Program for Fall Semester 2026–2027. As the first UM-CHE students to participate in the partnership, Binatero and Caparoso serve as ambassadors of the University, paving the way for more international learning opportunities and stronger global linkages for future UM students.
The international academic experience provides them with opportunities to expand their academic knowledge, immerse themselves in a different culture, and engage with an international learning community. Their participation also strengthens the academic partnership between UM and SU while exposing UM-CHE students to global perspectives and practices in hospitality and tourism education.
The student exchange program underscores UM-CHE’s commitment to internationalization and to global academic excellence, supporting the University of Mindanao’s mission to become a globally recognized university.
