Train Today, Keep Flames at Bay



As a way to reinforce the University of Mindanao's commitment to campus safety and emergency preparedness, a Fire Safety Seminar and Emergency Drill was conducted on February 24, 2026, at AVR 3, SS Building, Bolton Campus. Forty-four emergency first responders and campus personnel from UM Bolton Campus participated in a coordinated fire safety seminar and drill with Bureau of Fire Protection - Bangoy Station.

The fire drill featured a live street response exercise with a fire truck and hands-on training inside the auditorium. The presenters also demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers and discussed essential emergency procedures, emphasizing the importance of maintaining calm and coordination during emergencies.

Such an emergency readiness seminar demonstrates the University’s continuous effort to strengthen its culture of preparedness and collective responsibility. It ensures that members of the University community are equipped to respond effectively and keep flames at bay.
