Accountancy Competency Appraisal Holds Recollection for Students
Accountancy students from University of Mindanao participated in the Accountancy Competency Appraisal Recollection held on April 25, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at AVR 2, GET Building, Matina Campus. The activity gathered students currently undergoing the competency appraisal program as part of their preparation for upcoming academic assessments. The recollection was facilitated by Engr. Ma. Carmela Rodil, who led a series of sessions focused on reflection and personal growth. Through guided discussions and activities, students were encouraged to pause and examine their academic journey and personal motivations. The initiative aimed to help students strengthen not only their academic readiness but also their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Recognizing the demands of the competency appraisal program, the activity emphasized the importance of managing stress, maintaining focus, and aligning personal values with academic goals. Participants actively engaged in reflection exercises and interactive activities throughout the day. Many students expressed that the recollection provided them with renewed clarity, improved perspective, and a deeper sense of purpose as they continue their studies. The recollection forms part of the university’s broader effort to promote holistic development among accountancy students. By integrating personal growth with academic preparation, the institution reinforces the idea that success in the field requires both technical competence and strength of character. Aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), the initiative supports inclusive and holistic learning by fostering not only academic excellence but also students’ overall well-being. It highlights the university’s commitment to developing competent, resilient, and values-driven professionals prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
