UM hosts first student from partner university in Latvia
After the University of Mindanao’s stint at sending four graduate students to Daugavpils University in Latvia, Europe under the ERASMUS Mobility+ Program last February, it is now its turn to host one of their students for a semester under the Professional Schools.
Mr. Alex Fedosseyev arrived last Saturday, September 7 and will be taking up social sciences and research courses in his five month stay at UM. He is a History major at Daugavpils, and is the first student from Europe to be received at UM’s Professional Schools.
The University of Mindanao and Daugapils University entered into a partnership for exchange of research and best practices, as well as student and faculty exchange, among many other mutually beneficial endeavors. Daugavpils is also a major partner in UM’s development of its Coleopterological research facility and many other research endeavors.
