UMians join China- Philippines Friendship Tour 2019
Three Umians join the official Mindanao delegation for the China-Philippines Friendship Tour on September 15 – 28, 2019.
Gail Martie M. Maceda (BSTM), Kevin Rostem M. Digal (BS Entrepreneurship), and Leonilo C. Gonzalez III (BS Civil Engineering) will be joining the 30 delegates from the Philippines in the two-week tour which aims to promote and strengthen the relations of two nations, according to the University of Mindanao’s External Relations and International Affairs Office (ERIAO).
The three students were interviewed by the ERIAO and deemed among the best to represent the university in the friendship tour.
They met with Deputy Consul General Tang Duokun and Vice Consul Cao Jianwei last Aug. 30 at the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Juna subdivision for a briefing on their trip.
Along with the Umians, the Mindanao delegation are also composed of selected students from the University of Southeastern Philippines and personalities from the government and media.
