The close of the month of August brings good tidings as four Umians cinch top places in the recent August 2019 Social Worker licensure examination.
With a score of 82.80, Jerena Piencenaves is at the third spot, followed by Habib Dela Cruz Pagilogon at seventh place with 81.80, Jonathea Paz Baloca at the top eighth spot with 81.60, and Relene Delos Reyes at the tenth spot with 81.20.
The four join the 2, 723 examinees who passed the Social Worker licensure examination out more than 5, 000 registrants, according to data from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Their success along with those who passed the exam enabled the University of Mindanao to garner an average passing rate of 84.04% for first time takers, compared to the national average passing rate of only 61.15%.
The exam was administered by the PRC’s Board for Social Workers in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
It can be remembered that the University of Mindanao’s first ever top placer in any national licensure examination came from the Social Work program back in 2014, with graduates from the university performing successfully ever since.
