Daugavpils University faculty and staff visit University of Mindanao
The University of Mindanao received today 3 staff and faculty members from Daugavpils University (DU) in Latvia who are scheduled for a brief visit in UM and a cultural tour in Davao City.
Ms. Velta Dilba (International and Public Relations Officer), Ms. Jelena Semeneca and Ms. Ilze Olehnovica (faculty of the English Philology and Translatology Department) were warmly welcomed by the university's senior officials and deans over a sumptuous lunch held earlier today.
The three delegates are scheduled to have meetings and speakership for an international forum tomorrow at Matina campus. Both UM and DU have active and fruitful partnership with each other, especially in the areas of staff and student mobility and research collaborations which are funded by the Erasmus+ program. Just recently, one Daugavpils University graduate student has concluded his one semester of study in UM.
Tomorrow, Ms. Velta Dilba, who is also DU's Erasmus+ Project Coordinator, will be one of the resource speakers for the Forum on Internationalization and Erasmus Program to be held on Feb. 21, 2020 at AVR 2, Matina Campus in the afternoon.
