LOOK: UM's first Latvian student bids farewell as he finishes PS units
Inbound student Alex Fedosseyev of the Professional Schools met with Chief Academic Officer and PS Dean, Dr. Eugenio S. Guhao, Jr., and VP ERIAO, Dr. Reynaldo Castro a day before he is set to leave.
Mr. Fedosseyev is a MA History major in Daugavpils University in Latvia and has studied in UM from September 2019 - February 2020 under the ERASMUS Mobility exchange program. He enrolled in major courses under the MAED in Teaching Social Studies program and has immersed himself in local culture during his 5-month stay in the city.
In this exit meeting, Alex recounted his academic and personal experiences while studying in UM and living in Davao. He also shared about the academic and cultural differences he observed between Philippines and Latvia.
