Governance

Leocadio S. Nitorreda is a seasoned Philippine corporate executive and lawyer with extensive experience in governance, compliance, and strategic leadership across business and educational sectors.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Ateneo de Manila University in 1978 and his Bachelor of Laws from Ateneo de Davao University in 1983. 

Beyond his academic accomplishments, Nitorreda serves as member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Mindanao, where he plays an active role in advancing institutional governance.

Similarly, he holds board memberships in several corporations, notable of which are the following:

1.    University Storefront Services Corporation (USSC), one of the country’s leading one-stop service shops specializing in money transfer;
2.    Nationwide Development Corporation (NADECOR), which is engaged in the exploration and development of gold and copper mineral resources located at Kingking, Davao de Oro Province; 
3.    Jesus V. Ayala (JVA) Group of Companies, comprising of several companies engaged in agriculture, commercial production of bananas for export, tourism, real estate, food and entertainment; and
4.    Universal Access and Systems Solutions, Inc (UAS), a full information technology solutions company specializing in systems analysis and integration.

He joined the University of Mindanao as a member of the Board of Trustees in 2005 up to the present.
