Councilor Pilar Braga, Chairperson of the Davao City Government's Committee on Education, Science, and Technology, Arts, and Culture, encourages women participation in governance. With her incumbent position, she emphasizes the crucial importance of government actions for women and children. 

Councilor Braga has produced 149 resolutions and 16 ordinances, demonstrating her commitment to furthering Davao City's women, development, education, and cultural initiatives. Her active participation and sponsorship of major resolutions demonstrate her commitment to grassroots development and barangay-level issues in Davao City. These accomplishments demonstrate the significance of legislative productivity in furthering Davao's growth and meeting the needs of its residents. Councilor Braga also joined UM as a member of the Board of Trustees on January 27, 2017.
