Salvador Medialdea began his public service career in 1998, when he was named Administrator of the Livelihood Corporation (LIVECOR). He held this position from September 23, 1998, to November 30, 1999, and contributed to the corporation's initiatives to improve Filipino livelihood chances. 

In 2016, he was appointed Presidential Assistant for Political Affairs providing crucial insights and support in political governance under the presidency of Rodrigo Roa-Duterte.

He served also as Executive Secretary to the former President Rodrigo Duterte, a position he held with distinction until Duterte's term ended in June 2022. His term as Executive Secretary was a watershed moment in his career, during which he played a critical role in supporting the administration's executive decisions and ensuring smooth government operations. Atty. Medialdea also joined the Board of Trustees of the University of Mindanao on January 19, 2024.
