Edwin P. Torres, born on May 22, 1964, in Davao City, is a Filipino marketing professional and academic leader. He enrolled his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from De La Salle University in 1982, major in Marketing.  Later, he graduated from Philippine Christian University from 1986 to 1988.

Edwin P. Torres began his professional journey as an Account Executive at the University of Mindanao in September 1983, where he continued to hone his expertise in in the field of business and education. He has served as President of the Junior Philippine Marketing Association (JPMA) and Vice President of JPMA Media, as well as a member of various marketing and professional organizations including ARCD, PMRA, and PMA.

A Davao native and Roman Catholic, Torres is the son of the late Guillermo E. Torres, Sr. and Dolores P. Torres. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is a dedicated father to Anthony Jonnel Torres and Edricca Jannel Torres.

He joined the University of Mindanao as member of the Board of Trustees on October 1, 1985.
