UM Tourism Program Clinches Back-to-Back Wins at Davao City Tourism Skills Olympics 2025
The University of Mindanao (UM) Tourism Management Program achieved a back-to-back championship victory at the 1st Davao City Tourism Skills Olympics 2025, held on November 10, 2025, further strengthening its record of excellence in tourism education.
UM secured the Championship in Tour Guiding, led by BSTM student Angel Ann Soriga under the coaching of Dr. Clarence Joy D. Alcaraz, and the Championship in Tourism Circuit Package Proposal, won by Ryan Willer Dayot and Aprealle Jeah Manguiob, coached by Dr. Liwliwa B. Lagman.
The recent wins add to UM’s growing list of achievements, following victories at the UFTS Nationals and international representation at the AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia. These accomplishments highlight UM’s commitment to academic excellence, industry relevance, and student leadership in tourism and hospitality education.
