City honors UM Chorale for contribution to culture and arts in Davao
The University of Mindanao Chorale received recognition from the local government at this year's Pasidungog: Garbo sa Dabaw.
The award is attributed to the group's contribution to the city in the field of music and the arts after winning in the 2023 Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival and 2024 Himig Handog: Musikahan sa Tagum International Choral Festival. Notably, this is the third time that the city government has handed UM Chorale its recognition.
A statement from the UM Chorale reads: "We extend this award to the community, whose passion for music motivates us to continue delivering performances that showcase the talent, culture, and diversity of Davao, Mindanao, and the Philippines."
