Cash gifts awarded to 23 UMian licensure examination topnotchers
University of Mindanao president Dr. Guillermo P. Torres Jr. presented cash gifts to the 23 topnotchers of the LET and NLE exams on Monday, Dec. 17, 2018.
UM alumni had 22 Licensure Examination for Teachers board topnotchers in the Elementary and Secondary levels for the September 2018 exams; and 11 topnotchers come from UM Main Davao; seven from UM Digos; three from UM Tagum and one from UM Panabo, with UM Digos having the first and second place topnotchers.
The university has one board topnotcher for the Nurse Licensure Examination.
Also, the Commission on Higher Education XI released a commendation to the different educational institutions in Davao Region who produced topnotchers in the September 2018 LET.
“The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI commends and appreciates the enormous efforts put in by 19 Teacher Education Institutions in the region which produced 64 topnotchers in the September 2018 Licensure Examination for Teachers for BSED and BSEED programs,” it stated in their commendation.
UM has a cash gift incentive to students who are able to place in the Top 10 of any national licensure examination, as a way of recognizing and rewarding their hard work and exemplary performance.
