UMasenso Hub Technology Business Incubation Program Kick-Off
The UMasenso Hub officially resumes its operations in 2026 with the launch of its Technology Business Icubation Program welcoming four (4) promising incubatees: Bukas Bukis, RLG Voltworks, SoBear, and TanUM Nanotech Solutions. This milestone is marked by the formal Signing of the UMasenso Hub Technology Business Incubation Program Agreement, signaling the beginning of a structured, collaborative innovation journey.
The incubation program will run for six (6) months, during which the incubatees will undergo a comprehensive development process that includes mentorship and coaching, business model validation, technical and product development support, intellectual property assistance, market linkage, investment readiness, and capacity-building activities. The program aims to transform innovative ideas into sustainable, market-ready ventures aligned with the University of Mindanao’s thrust for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
This initiative directly contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through startup and job creation, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by supporting technology-driven enterprises, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through locally relevant solutions, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration between the academe, industry, and innovators. The agreement was signed by Dr. Maria Linda B. Arquiza, the Vice President for Research and Innovation, together with Engr, Jetron J. Adtoon, the UMasenso Hub Manager, Ms. Dyle Legaspi, the ITSO Manager, and the four incubatess.
This marks another significant step in strengthening the local startup ecosystem and empowering innovators to turn technology-driven ideas into impactful solutions for the community and beyond.
