BSP in Action: Dr. Cabulong Showcases Milestones as DOST-PCIEERD Balik Scientist



The University of Mindanao proudly hosted the Exit Report Presentation of Dr. Rhudith B. Cabulong, Short-Term Balik Scientist under the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), held on February 20, 2026 via Zoom.

During the presentation, Dr. Cabulong articulated the scope, rigor, and measurable impact of her engagement with the University. Her accomplishments highlighted significant research outputs, strengthened institutional collaborations, and capacity-building initiatives in the fields of metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, and nanobiotechnology.

Through mentorship, technical workshops, and collaborative research discussions, her engagement reinforced the University’s commitment to advancing innovation-driven scholarship aligned with national science and technology priorities.

The activity was attended by officials and representatives from DOST, DOST-PCIEERD, University administrators, faculty members, researchers, and students. The event underscored the strategic value of the Balik Scientist Program in accelerating knowledge transfer, enhancing research capability, and fostering sustainable academic partnerships.
