UMians' technology startup and UMasenso Hub featured in the Philippine Daily Inquirer
A project that won UM's first ever UMerge Startup Challenge last year was recently featured in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Aqua Cultura, an aquaponics system intended to lessen labor costs and increase yield in producing lettuce and tilapia fish won the top prize at UMerge, which revolved around the theme “Strengthening startup culture and ecosystem in tertiary education,” with an aim to develop startup technologies that seek to address existing gaps in the fields of agriculture, tourism, transportation, environmental sustainability, and disaster risk reduction.
Read up on what Janna Pauline Pueblas, co-founder of the winning startup project, had to say about Aqua Cultura's origins, and where they hope to take it in the future, over at The Philippine Daily Inquirer.
