UM inks agreement with Huawei Technology
UM President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Guillermo P. Torres Jr entered into a partnership with tech giant Huawei Technologies via a virtual ceremony, making UM a Huawei Authorized Information and Network Academy (HAINA).
The HAINA program is a non-profit endeavor that "authorizes universities, colleges, and schools to deliver Huawei certification courses," according to the company's program briefer.
They work closely with their academic partner for the delivery of industry-standard training and certification programs that seek to improve employment opportunities for the youth, as well as address the "global ICT skills gap."
