Ms. Metilla is currently taking a Doctor of Philosophy program in UM. She is pursuing her dissertation on design and operation management of cultural centers in the BIMP-EAGA region. She is a recipient of the 1st Mindanao Women in Development Awards by the Mindanao Development Authority and a winner in the A'Design Awards 2024 for her design of BARMM Public Market. A founding partner of Swito Designs Architects, Ms. Metilla has also founded the Mindanao Architecture Advocacy Network.
