UM awarded championship in service category of PCCI’s 13TH BIDA
Marketing management students under the College of Business Administration Education emerged as champions once again in the service category of the prestigious Business Idea and Development Awards (BIDA) of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
UMians were also champions in the same category in 2018.
The 13th BIDA is an annual national business plan competition that seeks innovative, socially conscious, and profit-generating business models in various categories with top schools across the country participating. The 2019 awarding ceremony was held on the evening of October 16 at the Manila Hotel.
The victorious marketing team is composed of Ana Grace Lovella B. Jabido (4th year), Troy Florence L. Matugas (2nd year), Charmaine Kate L. Garcia (4th year), Krennier Mac O. Abad (4th year), and Aileh Marie Q. Laureta (2nd yr) with their project ‘We Find Waste’; and were accompanied by their coach, Prof. Clyde Abner C. Valdez.
The 13th BIDA was held last Sept. 27 at the Commerce and Industry Plaza, McKinley Town Center, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City with the theme "Young Entrepreneurs Responding to Industry 4.0 through Innovative Ideas.”
