UM grad places among Top 10 in August 2021 MELE
The University of Mindanao through Alec Christian M. Cervantes earned a spot in the top 10 examinees nationwide of the August 2021 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Exam (MELE).
Cervantes, now among the country’s newly licensed Mechanical Engineers, finished the MELE with a rating of 88.35% to place as top seventh nationwide, also becoming one of two Davaoenos to enter the Top 10.
UMians not only earned a spot in the top 10, but all first time takers of the MELE from the University of Mindanao were able to successfully pass the exam, earning for UM a 100% passing rate for first time takers compared to the national passing rate of 39.77%.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), UM is also one of the top performing schools in the August 2021 MLE as per Commission Resolution No. 2017-1058© series of 2017.
The PRC released the results August 24, 2021 and reported that 247 out of 621 examinees were able to pass the MELE.
