Steering UM’s astronomical rise to the success it enjoys today in various fields of research, curricular, and extra curricular accomplishments since 2007, Sir Willie also guided the charge in UM’s achievements in national and international accreditations and certifications; securing for UM a trustworthy reputation as an institution that hones ‘diamonds in the rough’ with quality, affordable, and open education.
But he’s not just all work and no play!
In his down time, Sir Willie is an avid classical car collector and racer, and enjoys traveling and being out in nature. It’s no wonder his love for the outdoors has extended to the look and feel of the UM campuses, which have lush greenery and other natural elements.
