UM Business students take top places in BIDA 2020
Three teams from the University of Mindanao emerged as runners up in three categories of the BIDA 2020 - Business Idea Development Award (National Business Plan Competition).
This annual competition was founded by the PCCI -Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and participated by top schools in the Philippines.
This year's BIDA was purely an online competition; the students presented their business plans virtually.
Keep Distance (Technology category) - 1st runner up
IS3 (Nonfood category) - 1st runner up
Rest in Plants (Service category) - 2nd runner up
Technology and service categories are composed of Troy Florence L. Matugas, Aileh Marie Q. Laureta, Edrian James G. Flores, Jovanie I. Garcia, and Ian C. Dela Peña.
The nonfood category is composed of Ivanbert Y. Damasco, Mary Lou M. Cabigas, Jeremie John P. Venteroso, and Carl Jay M. Tadios. The three teams were coached by Prof. Clyde Abner C. Valdez, Dr. Jestita Gurrea, and Dr. Vicente Salvador E. Montaño. (image courtesy of PCCI - BIDA 2020)
