UM Archi student is among nation’s reps to Thesis of the Year by Architects Regional Council Asia
A student of the University of Mindanao’s College of Architecture and Fine Arts Education is among the top three selections to represent the Philippines in the Architects Regional Asia Thesis (ARCASIA) of the Year 2020 Awards.
Geremie Bles Dumaguin from the UM BS Architecture program notably achieved the highest rating out of the three national qualifiers with a rating of 87.5 with his proposal titled “The Encephalon: Davao Premium Student Accommodation in Developing Live and Learn Community Through Parametric Architecture.”
ARCASIA fosters friendly, intellectual, artistic, educational, and scientific ties with National Institutes of Architects all over the Asian region; promoting recognition of the architect’s role in society, development and education of architects and the architectural profession, and to promote research and technical advancement in the field.
