UM to hand 80 Latin Honors in 73rd Commencement Ceremonies
The University of Mindanao is set to see off more than 1,500 graduates in the 73rd Commencement Exercises at the SMX Convention Center in Lanang, which will include garnering 80 Latin honors.
According to the university’s Records and Admission Center, there are 34 students across the various colleges who are magna cum laude awardees, and 46 students with cum laude awards.
Graduates from the masters, doctorate, and technical programs of the university will also be included in today’s ceremonies.
This year’s commencement ceremony also has Daugavpils University Rector Dr. Arvids Barsevskis as guest of the university.
Daugavpils University in Latvia has been the frequent partner of the University of Mindanao in research and faculty exchange, as well as supporting UM’s Research and Publication Center in research initiatives here in the country.
