The University of Mindanao, for a number of years, has continually developed, implemented, maintained and improved systems, processes and practices of good corporate governance. The institution has incessantly challenged itself to provide the most conducive environment for achieving its vision, mission and goals for the pursuit of learning.

It has maintained integrity in the manner in which it specifies goals, selects and retains its faculty, admits students, establishes academic programs and curricula, identifies programs of research, pursues outreach projects, demonstrates activity to address equity and diversity issues, allocates its resources, and serves the public interest.
