Community Extension Center

For decades, UM has established mechanisms that promote good and extensive relations with the community. This relationship cuts across teaching, research, and service which involve generating, facilitating, transmitting, applying, and preserving knowledge for the direct benefits of internal and external stakeholders in ways that are consistent with the university mission. The university community relation is anchored on four dimensions: significance, impact, context, and scholarship. UM has achieved a reputation of good community relations worthy of emulation by others. The institution's role in improving the socio-economic conditions of the partner communities and the faculty's involvement in the various activities are some proofs of this reputation. Moreso, its graduates are well established as respected and credible leaders and have long maintained a prominent role in theorganization where they belong.
