Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education - Generalist

Today’s modernized society makes it pretty difficult for children to cope with the fast-paced living not just in urban areas, but also in rural places. Sometimes even the parents of the children themselves cannot provide their kids with the basic education they need especially the moral values acquisition. So to fill in this need of the children, this program was included in the University’s arsenal programs. This is to train students to become future professional coaches and facilitators for elementary school age children and inculcate in their minds what they need to know, what they need to do, and guide them in choosing what they want to be. Since children and way more difficult to handle to handle than highschoolers and college students, this program’s main aim is produce graduates who are patient, understanding and most of all, charismatic and loving enough to handle children like their own.  

Child educators use active learning techniques, discussions, hands on activities, group work, and other pedagogies to effectively transfer learning to their students. Also, children psychology and development is emphasized since this is a very crucial factor as to how a child grows. All these are needed to instill in the minds of the students the value of education. Graduates of this program can apply as elementary educators, special education teachers, guidance counselors and more.
