Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering

Our world today is basically dependent on the currently-existing technologies which are said to make this world a better place to live in. Though generally helpful and effective, technology sometimes makes us forget the existence of the One where it all started; Nature itself. To help solve this problem, Chemical Engineering was included in the programs offered by the University of Mindanao to train students to become intellectually adept, nature loving, and globally-competent professionals in the said field while keeping the balance between nature and technology.

This profession involves the conceptualization, design, development, improvement and application of ideas regarding economic ways of utilizing materials and energy in unit processes and operations for the benefit of the society while preserving nature using the gained knowledge of mathematics, chemistry, biology, information technology and other natural, applied and social sciences. Students, after graduating from the said program can use their acquired skills from the program in food and drug manufacturing, energy engineering, petrochemical engineering, biotechnology and many more.
