Bachelor of Science in Social Work

This program is a preparation of students for generalist social work practice that mainly focuses on human development and social transformation. The said profession requires the acquisition and, of course, application of knowledge, attitudes, values and skills for addressing the social needs, issues and concerns of various sectors such as children, youth in conflict with the law, peasants, workers, women, urban poor, migrants, indigenous peoples and other. Parts of their practices are family and children’s services, health and rehabilitation, mental health, adult and juvenile corrections, gerontology, disaster response and management, occupational health and safety, forensic social work, community development, human resource development, education, and international social welfare. 

It is expected that such profession would inculcate values, attitudes, and proper behaviors to students that is applicable to private and public or business sectors primarily in enhancing the social functioning of individuals and promoting social justice through advocating for just social policies.
