UM crowns rep from College of Hospitality Education as Mutya ng UM 2018

Anticipation was high as students and faculty gathered to cheer on their representatives to the annual Mutya ng UM pageant at the University of Mindanao gymnasium at the Matina campus last Thursday, December 14.

After long yet fun hours rehearsing and building up the confidence to face the audience and the judges, as well as going through the various stages in the competition leading up to the coronation night, ultimately it was Eula Cristine Napuli from the College of Hospitality Education who demonstrated the most grace, wit, and presented a meaningful advocacy, earning the title of Mutya ng UM 2018.

Serving as her court are 1st Runner-up – Eloisa Monique Yepez (UM Main – CBAE), 2nd Runner-up – Joyce Generale (UM Tagum), 3rd Runner-up – Sheira Lobetania (UM Main – CASE), and 4th Runner-up – Trishia Anne Francisco (UM Main – CBAE).

The pageant is a joint effort among all colleges, branches, and various student organizations and is one of the university’s most eagerly awaited events to close out the calendar year.
