UM Multimedia Arts student among global grand winners in design contest

Besting more than 3, 000 submissions from across the world, 22-year old Jeuz Sumangil took home $2, 000 as among the five grand winners in Talenthouse’s poster making contest for the movie Marvel movie Venom, set to screen this year.

According to The Philippine Star, the poster making contest was a partnership between Talenthouse, an online community of art creators and enthusiasts, and the production team of Venom; where Hollywood actor Tom Hardy, who stars as the titular Venom, personally selected the winners.

The four other grand winners come from the US, Japan, Indonesia, and Ecuador, the report added.

Additionally, a report from CNN mentioned that Sumangil plans to use his prize money to upgrade his equipment for graphic designing.
