UM grads place in top spots for March 2018 LET
The University of Mindanao graduates once again earned top spots for both the Elementary and Secondary categories in the March 2018 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), a testament to the quality of learning from UM.
For Elementary, placing at Top 5 is Honeylen Dolores from UM Tagum (87.60%), at the Top 6 is Noel Bernadas, also from UM Tagum (87.40%),and Jessa Yaun from UM Peñaplata (86.60%).
For first time takers of the LET Elementary category, UM scored a passing rate of 98.57% with an overall passing rate of 61.98%; compared to the national passing rate of only 23.62%.
For the Secondary category, at the Top 6 is Ian Val Cabel from UM Main (91.40%), Top 8 is Joan Casas from UM Tagum (91%), and sharing the Top 10 place are Jeric Telen (90.60%), and Raymart Villareal (90.605), with both coming from UM Main.
For first time takers of the LET Secondary category, UM garnered a passing rate of 81.87%, with an overall passing rate of 55.07%; compared to the national passing rate of only 29.91%.
The efforts of students who top the various national licensure examinations are recognized by the UM administration and compensated handsomely, as is the mandate of university president and Chief Operating Officer Dr. Guillermo P. Torres Jr.
